Croatia's Podravka has sold the Studenac water filling factory to the Slovenian company Radenska, owned by the Czech Kofola Group.

The sales and purchase agreement was signed on Monday, September 19, and the acquisition should be realized by the end of the year, Tportal reports, without citing the value of the transaction.

It is expected that Radenska will take over the controlling stock by the end of the year. It is also expected that the transaction won't negatively impact the results of the Podravka Group in 2016 and that it will have a positive impact on the profitability of its operations in the period ahead, says the report published at the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

Podravka says that, after selling their drinks program, they will continue to develop the food and medicine program and further concentrate on internationalizing their brands.

Kofola is already present in Croatia, having previously acquired the production of soft drinks from Zagreb's Badel 1862, Tportal reminds.
