Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Branislav Nedimovic has stated that funds from the IPARD agricultural program in the amount of EUR 175 million are still available to Serbia and announced that the money will be activated soon.

– The information that the money is lost is absolutely untrue. Serbia can still use the entirety of EUR 175 million which has been set aside from the IPARD funds, and it's up to us to remove the deficiencies noticed by the European Commission in the external review – Nedimovic said.

He said for B92 that, even though the former Sabac facility of the Directorate for Agrarian Payments, which had been moved to Belgrade, had been built in line with the relevant standards, it hadn't been able to meet the requirements for the accreditation, which is why the Directorate had needed to move.

Nedimovic added that the accreditation process was in progress.

– I will do my best to make the IPARD funds available to us in the first half of my ministry's mandate and to provide our agricultural producers and manufacturers with the IPARD monetary funds – the minister said.
