Serbia's economic progress is possible under the influence of an increased development of the industry and the implementation of modern technologies. Enterprises in Serbia need to make a step towards digitization, which changes the way companies develop and produce nowadays and increases productivity, thereby improving competitiveness in the global market.
To achieve this, we need the integration of available technologies, competent human resources and a stronger manufacturing sector, i.e. the formation of modern, environmentally conscious and energy efficient industries which employ highly educated work force and are supported by scientific institutions.
What the process of reindustrialization in Serbia should be founded on and whether we can catch up with Industry 4.0 are the main topics of eKapija's new Special Edition Newsletter – Awakening of Serbian Industry.
The newsletter, which is to be published on November 15, will present the latest technologies, solutions and possibilities of integrating digital technologies into any product or artifact, i.e. how to enable all industrial sectors to implement new technologies in the best way possible and manage the changes which lead them towards an increased value of products and processes.
We will strive to analyze the current state of the Serbian industry – what the biggest problems and challenges are and what the prerequisites are of a successful transformation which will secure the survival of the industry and its competitive development under modern conditions. The scientific and technical breakthrough enables small and underdeveloped countries to prosper more quickly. To that end, the newsletter will look to provide answers to how Serbia is planning to utilize its national, professional and other resources towards achieving that goal.
Which industries should be prioritized, what will the further policy of subsidizing be and what kind of an export structure do we need for the further economic growth? Do companies in Serbia have the capacities for technological development and how prepared are they to accept innovations? Where is Serbia when it comes to smart infrastructure? We will also look for answers to how Serbia can open itself to border-free flow of goods and services and step up initiatives for the implementation of e-business and e-administration. We will turn attention to the issues of education as well – how to educate and keep the human resources which will be the carriers of the new technological development. A special part of the newsletter will deal with energy efficiency and look into how much is saved in the industry by honoring this concept.
We will talk to all the relevant representatives of the state authorities (Ministry of Telecommunications, Ministry of Economy, Chamber of Commerce of Serbia), associations (Vojvodina Metal Cluster, Serbian Association of Employers, Creative Industries Cluster), educational institutions (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) and important representatives of the commercial sector who recognize the importance of the topic. We will also present producers of equipment, creators of software solutions, and we will also point out the examples of good practice.
A special part of the newsletter will be reserved for presenting technologies, solutions and equipment used to the end of improving operations, implementation of digital technologies and transformation of production, services and processes into “smart things” (integrated industrial solutions, managing systems, automatization systems, logistics, quality control, energy facilities, ERP, IT solutions in e-trading, data digitization, mobile banking, security solutions, insurance etc.)
