Laws on temporary and seasonal employment being prepared – New regulations for strikes and peaceful settlement

Assistant of the minister of labor and employment, Zoran Lazic, stated yesterday that the plan was to complete the draft law on temporary employment agencies in Serbia by the end of 2016.

– The ministry has formed a working group and the plan is for the draft law to be completed by the end of the year and to be put up for a public discussion – he said and added that he expected the law to be adopted in spring 2017.

According to him, around 60,000 people is Serbia have been employed through agencies. He estimates that the law will establish a fair relation between all agencies and companies dealing in temporary employment and protect the employees working through agencies.

Lazic also announced the plan to adopt, in spring 2017, the law on seasonal employment vouchers and the law on strikes and peaceful settlement of labor disputes.
