The French company Mecafor opened a factory for the production of metal car components in Kikinda today, in which it has invested EUR 4 million.

For the time being, 55 people will work at the facility, but the plan is to later increase the number of employees.

The opening was attended by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and the ambassador of France to Serbia, Christine Moro, as well as Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic.

The construction of the factory began this April on the plot of land with an area of 48,000 m2 in the industrial zone, which the French company had paid RSD 30 million for.

Mecafor started its operations in Serbia several years ago in Senta (Mecafor Products d.o.o. Senta). The company is a member of the French group La Fonte Ardennaise, which owns several factories for the production and processing of metal components for the automotive industry.
