Two companies from Serbia to apply for research of copper and cobalt deposits in Kongo
Two companies from Serbia are very close to signing of the contract on allotment of mining concession for research and exploitation of copper and cobalt deposits in Kongo!
According to available information, these two companies, of which names are hidden for the sake of competition, have already registered a company in Kongo that will compete for these concessions.
In return, Serbian companies would be obliged to provide all necessary equipment for equipping of the National Mining and Metallurgy Institute in that African country.
If Serbian companies, and the chances are great that they will, win on the tender for the allotment of concessions, the National Mining and Metallurgy Institute of Serbia, with the headquarters in Bor, would be included in the business and its experts would be reponsible for geology, mining, metallurgy and training of colleagues from the similar Institute in Kongo.
By the way, in addition to mining companies from South Africa, Canada and China, Cypriot "East Point", of which president is Serbian businessman Zoran Drakulić, also works in Kongo. Drakulić announced earlier that his company, in association with the US and Swiss partners, had signed the contract on procurement of zinc and copper mine in Kongo, which used to be the property of national company "Gecamines".
- Complete investment is worth more than 500m USD - Drakulić pointed out.
- According to the estimates, exploitation of mines in Kongo will result in about 2.5m tons of zinc and nearly 400,000 tons of copper.
