NIS to invest 11.5m EUR in construction of 15 new gas stations in Serbia
Company "NIS Petrol" announced yesterday (March 17, 2008) that it would invest about 11.5m EUR in 2008 in construction of 15 new gas stations in Serbia.
Executive Manager of "NIS Petrol", Dragan Vučur, said at "BG car show" that 15 gas stations should be reconstructed in 2008 and that about 8.8m EUR would be set aside for that purpose, while about 11m EUR would be invested in regular ecological projects on gas stations.
According to his words, "NIS Petrol" plans to have another 22 gas stations built in Serbia within next two years and to have the same number of retail facilities reconstructed.
"NIS Petrol" is a part of Stockholding company Petroleum Industry of Serbia, which deals with oil processing and fuel distribution, and it encompasses "Jugopetrol", "Naftagas promet" and two refineries - one in Novi Sad and one in Pančevo.
There are 484 NIS gas stations in Serbia at the moment. Vučur announced that the national oil company planned to invest about 62.5m EUR in 2008 in the refinery production and about 35m EUR in ecological projects in the refineries in Pančevo and Novi Sad.
