Profit from telecommunications totals EUR 1,5 billion - By the end of 2016, two new virtual mobile operators start operations in Serbia

In the telecommunications sector, Serbia generates annual revenues of EUR 1.5 billion, and the sector has great potential and opportunities for growth, the Minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications Rasim Ljajić, has said today.At the opening of TELFOR 016. In Belgrade he said that in that area, Serbia has been slowly catching up with the world.- Revenues in mobile telephony are EUR 920 m, 306 m in fixed line and 180 m in internet – Ljajic said.He announced that by the end of the year Serbian market will see two new virtual mobile operators.The aim of the Government of Serbia, according to him, is to set up national broadband network for internet.


- The plan is that by 2020 every household has high speed internet - Ljajic said and added that the plan is ambitious but achievable.
