The film Depth Two, by director Ognjen Glavonic, won the award for the best feature length documentary in the international competition at the 57th Festival dei Popoli, held in Florence from November 25 till December 2, 2016.

The explanation of the jury at Italy's oldest and biggest documentary film festival cites that Glavonic's film was awarded for its articulation between images and the story, enabling us to dive into the mechanism of a massacre and perceive how they can place always and anywhere.

– A powerful cinematographic writing, an outstanding piece of art, a document on our recent history, a film where we learn about ourselves – the jury's assessment reads.

Depth Two had its world premiere this February at the Berlin International Film Festival and has since been shown at 30 festivals worldwide and won 11 awards. The film won the Grand Prix at the festivals in Saint Petersburg, London, Palma de Maiorca, Prizren and Florence. In the coming period, the film will be screened at the festivals in Goa, Tehran, San Cristobal and New York.
