Old Sava bridge to be opened on March 31st - no tram traffic in the first phase

- The Old Sava bridge will be opened for traffic on Monday, March 31st - city manager, Bojan Stanojević, announced today (March 28, 2008).

He said that the bridge would be opened around 7 AM, and that the tram traffic would be introduced later.

According to the words of Stanojević, the projected deadline for reconstruction has been "minimally breached, maybe only 10 to 15 days", which is an excellent result when the project is that big.

The works on the bridge started on October 13, 2007, and reconstruction cost about 900m RSD. City authorities have provided the money, and the works were carried out by company "Inter-most".
