Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has stated that he expects the contract on MiG-29 airplanes to be signed early next week in Moscow. The airplanes should arrive to Serbia in March 2017, Danas writes.

He said to the press that, with those six planes, Serbia would get a powerful squadron of ten MiGs, more than all the former Yugoslavian countries combined, as he pointed out.

As he said, investments in the arms industry will continue, all to the end of maintaining peace, security and stability in the Balkans.

– Once we have ten MiG-29 airplanes and thirteen Airbus helicopters, armed and meant for transporting special forces, produced in Germany and France, the state of Serbia’s air forces will be considerably different – the prime minister said, as reported by Danas, citing Sputnik as the source.
