Metalac revenues in 2016 amount to nearly EUR 100 million – Company expecting more than EUR 5 million in profit

The company Metalac has already pronounced 2016 a very successful year, with total revenues exceeding last year's by 20%, coming close to EUR 100 million.

The company has been especially successful in foreign markets. The export is 21% larger than in 2015, which was also a very successful year. The eleven-month data show that the 2016 profit should exceed EUR 5 million.

– We have exported EUR 25 million worth of products, predominantly to Russia. We are working with several store chains in France, where we expect a considerable growth of export in the coming years. Furthermore, our products have reached consumers in Belgium, Germany, USA, Ukraine, Georgia and all of Serbia's neighboring countries. This is the result of many years of working on product quality and market penetration, but also the fact that we have properly used every opportunity that has come our way. Of course, our workers have felt the good results of the company they work for in their pockets. We have increased the salaries by 12% and they amount to RSD 45 thousand on average – says Petrasin Jakovljevic, General Manager of Metalac.

In Metalac they believe that this year's results will be exceeded by 5% next year. An increase in prices of energy sources is expected, which, as they say, might double the export to the Russian market. On the other hand, they will face an unfavorable circumstance as well. Namely, it is exactly the increase in prices of energy sources and raw materials that will make the production more expensive.

In September 2015, the company also expanded to Fabrika Automobilskih Delova (FAD).

– A lot of things went wrong during several years of big problems in FAD, and many clients were lost. Nevertheless, we have managed to increase the production by 25% compared to the state we found the factory in when we purchased it. It is now a healthy, profitable company operating within our company – Jakovljevic says.
