(DRP of the tourist complex Platani Kucevo – from the material for early public review) The Municipality of Kucevo is completing the preparations for the construction of the tourist complex Platani. As eKapija learns at the Urban Planning Department of Kucevo, the preparation of the Detailed Regulation Plan, which has been put in charge of the Directorate for Urban Planning of Kragujevac, should be completed in late January, to be followed by public review.
Kucevo, as announced earlier, should get the complex Platani, where organic food (milk, honey, trouts) is to be produced, and hospitality and tourist features are to be built as well. The Ecotec group, headquartered in Dubai, is interested in investing in it.
As Dusan Todorovic of the municipal urban planning department says for eKapija, the preparation of the Platani DRP is divided in two phases. The first one, the preparation of the material for early public review, was completed this autumn. The material contains elements necessary for familiarizing the public with general goals, possible solutions and effects of planning.
The DRP encompasses 130 ha. The document defines the division of space into characteristic zones and sectors and rules of their regulation, as well as the dominant purpose of the areas and measures of protection of natural and cultural heritage.
Several zones, sectors and sub-sectors are defined within the plan: Kucajna Lake, Vranduk lookout and Platani tourist complex. Forests and forest land, agricultural land and land under water are located outside the building land.
All those features will comprise the unique tourism offer of the tourist complex Platani and will, together with the already defined tourist offers of Ceremosnja and Ravnistarska caves, further enrich the tourism offer of the municipality of Kucevo and this part of Serbia (Homolje, Zvizd).
– A public presentation of the material for early public review and a meeting in which all the activities realized up till that point were presented was held in October at the hall of the Municipal Assembly of Kucevo – explains Dusan Todorovic.
As explained on that occasion, the project in fact consists of four parts – purchase and processing of goat and sheep milk and production of hard cheeses, purchase and marketing of honey, establishing the breeding of Californian trouts and the development of tourism.
Todorovic says for eKapija that the presentation was attended by Fikri El Said, representative of the investor, the company Ecotec Global Solutions from Kraljevo, member of Dubai's Ecotec group. The company signed a protocol on cooperation with the municipality of Kucevo in March 2016 and intends to invest in the production of organic food, as well as in tourism content in the Kucevo area. Local media say that the offer might include the lookout, the cable car and even the ski tracks.
