Electric Power Company of Serbia and "Inter-Rao" to sign protocol on cooperation today
"Electric Power Company of Serbia" (EPS) and Russian Electric Power Company "Inter- Rao" EES will sign the protocol on cooperation today (April 14, 2008) in Belgrade.
- The protocol does not contain anything about privatization of Serbian power sector and that issue will not be discussed even after the protocol is signed - people from Serbian electric power company pointed out.
According to earlier announcements in the media, EPS should sign the protocol on cooperation with Russian company, which includes construction of new steam power plants and hydroelectric power plants and their joint appearence on the third market. The protocol concerns construction of "Kolubara B" and Steam Power Plant "Nikola Tesla B", as well as construction of power plants on the Drina river.
"Inter-Rao" EES is the international company for trade in electricity and it has power plants in Moldova, Georgia, Armenia and Kazakhstan, with total capacity of 5,750 MWh.
