New tile production unit in factory "Polet" at the beginning of year 2009 - investment worth 22m EUR

Factory of ceramics and tiles "Polet" from Novi Bečej is getting ready for construction of new unit for production of tiles, and according to the words of spokesperson Slađana Šijan, the study on new factory has already been finished.

That would be the only factory in Serbia with the state-of-the-arts production technology, tiles would be baked in so-called "H" casettes, they would be somewhat bigger, and production of painted tiles is also in the pipeline. In addition, construction of dry processing unit is also in the pipeline.

- This procedure will lead to achievement of enhancement of quality of ready-made products, and the value of investment is 22m EUR - says Slađana Šijan.

The bids are currently being collected from the leading German and French manufacturers of equipment. Construction of factories should start in 2009, while full production is expected in 2010.
