The hedge fund York Global Finance Offshore has bought claims from indebted Slovenian companies – Sava, DZS and Istrabenz.

The chairman of the Managing Board of Alpen Invest and the founder of Elemental Capital Partners, Savvas Lissas, representative of the hedge fund in Slovenia, says that they entered the Slovenian market in time.

– We've managed to connect all shareholders in Sava. Our restructuring plan is similar to the state's and we've managed to reach an agreement on cooperation with the Slovenian Sovereign Holding and Kapitalsko Drustvo. The restructuring plan is in progress and envisions the possibility of further consolidation of tourist sector in Slovenia – Lissas said.

York has recently bought claims from DZS and has also confirmed its interest in the claims from Tus.

– If the price is adequate, we will certainly be interested in Tus – Lissas confirmed, but also refuted cooperation with Serbian businessman Miodrag Kostic, which has been speculated about for months in the media.
