South Morava region of Czech Republic to donate 191,000 EUR for realization of 7 projects in municipalities of Šumadija region - contract signed

This year, the South Morava Region of Czech Republic will finance realization of seven projects in the municipalities of the Šumadija region with 191,000 EUR. This was announced on Tuesday (April 22, 2008) in the Assembly of Kragujevac, on the occasion of the signing of the contract between the representatives of that region and Regional Economic Development Agency of Šumadija and Pomoravlje.

- These are significant projects and they are the results of traditionally good cooperation between the two regions and the initiative that came from the municipalities - the CEO of the Regional Economic Development Agency of Šumadija and Pomoravlje, Jasmina Luković - Jagličić, estimated.

She said that those were infrastructural projects, investment projects and the projects of support to socially endangered groups and local economic development, as well as the projects for preservation of cultural-historical heritage.

Representatives of the South Morava region pointed out that they would resume program of financing and granting of scholarships to successful high school students from Šumadija, within the scope of which they had signed the contract on granting of six scholarships worth 1,000 EUR each.

The project for design of tourist signalization has been approved to Municipality of Topola, and the design of project documentation for mini farms and slaughterhouses, brought in accord with the EU standards, will be financed in Municipality of Aranđelovac, which anticipates support to local farmers when applying for national and other donations. Kindergarten "Naša radost" will be reconstructed in Municipality of Rača .

Municipality of Knić applied with the project for construction of wastewater treatment unit, while Association of Women "Zlatne Ruke" got funds in Batočina.

Implementation of the project for inclusion of children with special needs will start in Lapovo, while Kragujevac will get funds to rehabilitate and adapt building "Sokolana" in housing project Kolonija.
