Refisa, Duo Farma and MHT Products to start producing in March 2017 – Priboj negotiating with two more potential investors

The investors which signed an agreement on the lease of space in the Priboj Free Zone in 2016 are working on adapting the facilities and installing the working equipment. The employment of the first 40 workers at Spain's Refisa, the first company to sign the agreement, is expected to happen in 15 days.

Director of Priboj Industrial Parks, Milomir Lucic, says that Refisa is bringing the works to a close, though the cold weather has slowed them down.

– Test heating should begin next week, and the production should begin as soon as the hall is heated, as the tools and the materials are there, and the first group of workers has already gone through training in Spain, so it can be expected for the operations to start in early March – Lucic says.

The Dutch-Bosnian pharmaceutical company Duo Farma has agreed to expand and adapt another 300 m2 in addition to installing the machinery within the existing 300 m2 of rented space.

– We have brought all the works to a close. White rooms for pharmaceutical operations are ready, and there are also the machines for the production of house products and we hope that this segment will become operational in around fifteen days – said Aleksandar Djonovic, coordinator of Duo Farma.

The American company MHT products d.o.o. is also completing the equipping of production and office space and announces the installation of machines for the production of cooling and air conditioning devices by the end of March.

– We are currently interviewing job candidates and purchasing the machinery, and we expect to start producing in March – said Shahram Masoudnia of MHT Products.

According to the announcements, the authorities of the municipality of Priboj and the government and the Development Agency of Serbia are negotiating with another two potential investors, which could further contribute to the reindustrialization of Priboj.
