The Nis-based company Bata Energy is interested in raising solar power plants and opening a new line of pellet production in the municipality of Medvedja.

The company has estimated that the number of sunlight hours in Medvedja is considerable and expressed their desire to install both roof and ground solar panels.

As the forests in the area are numerous, they are also interested in establishing a new pellet production line.

– A mutual interest has been found and the municipality will approach further negotiations seriously, as renewable energy sources are subsidized by the state, and Medvedja is very interesting due to a large number of sunlight hours – it was said in conversation with Mayor Nebojsa Arsic.

Furthermore, the solar power plant installed on the roof of the hall of former Termovent has been operating successfully and there are great unused capacities for the development of this type of electricity production.

– The priority of the municipality of Medvedja is to reduce unemployment, so all investors are welcome. Today’s talks served to present the municipality’s potentials, which are considerable in this field. We’ve defined the field of interest and will enter concrete negotiations – Arsic pointed out.
