World Bank recommended restructuring of public expenses to all countries
(World Bank)
Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Radovan Jelašić, said that the World Bank, on the occasion of the increase in prices of
agricultural products and fuels on the world market, had recommended to all
countries to restructure public expenses in order to create space for social allowances
for the poorest.
He pointed out that the World Bank (WB) recommended that the countries should not increase, but restructure public expenses.
Jelašić pointed out that WB suggested that all countries should avoid using export limitations because they would disturb future investments in agriculture, especially because of the prognosis that the prices of food would continue its growth.
He said that the countries should gravitate
towards establishment of free trade and that they should enable free forming of
prices of food and fuels.
