Sabac among smart cities of the world – Taiwan Smart City Summit opportunity to attract investors

The Taiwan Smart City Summit, held from February 21 till 24, hosted 54 mayors from 46 states of the world, including Mayor of Sabac Nebojsa Zelenovic.

Sabac has placed among the smart cities of the world thanks to the projects it is carrying out. At the summit, Zelenovic talked about residential building insulation, replacement of non-ecological light-bulbs with LED lighting, construction of the city pool using three types of energy and participative budgeting.

He pointed out that his stay in Taiwan had been an opportunity to present Sabac to investors from throughout the world, the city's official website says.

– This is a good opportunity for us to present ourselves to big and important companies from all over the world which are looking to invest in Europe. Sabac is one of the places that partners from developed areas see as a favorable environment for their investments – Zelenovic said.

Talking about Sabac as a good city to invest in, he noted that simplified administrative procedures allowed the city to implement a wide range of incentives to investors prepared to invest in Sabac, which resulted in the biggest investment in Serbia, the arrival of Japan's Yazaki, which will employ 1,700 people of Sabac.
