Construction of dialysis center in Lebane begins – EU and Swiss Federal Council set aside RSD 5 million

Patients from Lebane, Bojnik and Medvedja suffering from kidney diseases will no longer have to travel to Leskovac for dialysis, as the works on the completion of the dialysis center within the Lebane Health Center have started. The completion deadline period is three months.

All finishing construction works, electrical installations, ventilation and air conditioning installation are being carried out with the help of the European Union and the Swiss Federal Council, which have set aside RSD 5 million through the European Progress development program, whereas the identical amount has been set aside from the budget of the Municipality of Lebane.

With the help of the European Union and the Swiss Federal Council, the Health Center will also get a part of the medical equipment for the future dialysis center, including a defibrillator, an ECG device, a patient monitor, eight beds and a dry sterilizer, whereas two doctors and eight nurses are to go through necessary training.

The works are being carried out by the Lebane-based construction company Invest Produkt, which was selected in the public procurement procedure.
