Teodora Dechev, CEO at Mundoro, said following the meeting with RTB's management that she expected the talks to continue and that the Bor company had potential for development.
– The first meeting with the Canadian company obliges us to sign a memorandum on information confidentiality. We will do this soon and then start the negotiations, as we will do with all other companies interested in cooperating with RTB – said Blagoje Spaskovski, Director General of RTB Bor.
Mundoro has been active in worldwide geological exploration since 1999 and has been exploring the area around Bor on eight exploration sites since 2011. The Canadian company performed its first exploration works in China, where it won at the tender for a gold site in the northeast par of the country.
Before the takeover, the site had been estimated to contain a million ounces of gold, and its value increased to 10 million ounces following the completion of the exploration. Mundoro later resold the mine to a Chinese state company and reached Serbia and Bulgaria thanks to that transaction, the RTB report says.
