Sirmium Steel Sremska Mitrovica property put up for sale – Auctioned items include industrial facilities, office complex, land...

The administrative receiver of the Sremska Mitrovica-based company Sirmium Steel has put a part of the company's movable and immovable property up for sale through public bidding.

The property has been divided up in four lots, and the most important items are industrial facilities in Ruma, with a total area of around 13,272.36 m2, consisting of the head office building, halls and warehouses, railroad tracks, auxiliary facilities... The starting price of this lot is around RSD 54.6 million.

The other lots consist of an office complex in Sremska Mitrovica, with 654 m2 of area and the land of 5,306 m2, whose starting price is around RSD 31 million, the land featuring unregistered prefab facilities, with an area of 52,832 m2 and the starting price of around RSD 29.8 million, as well as a warehouse in Ruma of 84 m2, whose starting price is RSD 801,820.43.

In 2014, the Sremska Mitrovica-based rolling mill was among the biggest exporters from Serbia. In September 2015, the company, which produced raw iron, steel and ferroalloys, stopped producing due to big debts. In October 2015, a part of the factory was taken over by Metalfer, and, according to the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency, Sirmium Steel has been in bankruptcy since November 3, 2015.

The public bidding will be held on May 5, 2017, at 1 pm, at the Commercial Court of Sremska Mitrovica.
