"Lagado" expanded production capacities - 40m RSD invested in new sewing unit
Deputy CEO of Furniture factory "Lagado" in Bujanovac, Slađan Stojanović, said that the new
sewing unit had been built at more than 1,000 square meters within
the scope of the plan for broadening capacities of company Lagado and that another 40
workers would get job in it.
Stojanović says that the investment in the new unit, worth
40m RSD, is significant not only to Lagado, but also to undeveloped Bujanovac
and the whole south of Serbia.
- We are planning to build an annex on the
exhibition space where all our products, available to both local and foreign
partners of "Lagado", will be on display - says Stojanović.
Number of
workers in this Simpo’s former factory has been increased by 50% since 2002 and
it now exceeds 250, mainly people from Municipality of Bujanovac.
Stojanović said that "Lagado" had increased the sales in the first five months of the year by 20% against the same period in 2007.
- Over 60% of our products are intended for export into about 20 European countries. We are especially proud of increased export to the market of Russian Federation. The rest of the products are sent to local market through large stores, as well as through our own retail facilities in Belgrade and Vranje - Stojanović explains.
