Huawei partner of Ministry of Education in developing information and communications infrastructure in educational institutions

Serbian Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Sarcevic and a representative of Huawei signed an agreement on strategic partnership for development of information and communications infrastructure in educational institutions on Sunday, May 14.

As reported on the official website of the Government of Serbia, Huawei has 180,000 employees and invests USD 11 billion in the development center a year. The development of electronic governance is one of the main priorities of the Government and the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, and the most important part is enhancing and connecting the registers and electronic services for citizens and the business sector.

Huawei also presented the Government of Serbia with a possibility of cooperation in establishing a “G cloud” (Government cloud), which would unify the data and communications infrastructure for all state bodies and offer all the apps the state bodies need to operate.

The company will also work on developing the Safe and Smart City system in Serbia.
