The aim of the Serbian-Ukrainian business forum is the signing of a free trade agreement with Ukraine, said Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Miroslav Miletic, on Monday, May 15.
The third business forum Serbia-Ukraine was held at the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, and the topic was the production and trade of agricultural and food products, as well as of agricultural mechanization.
– Keeping in mind the importance of the event, this is an opportunity to talk about the way of enhancing the business cooperation, but also a great opportunity to notify the institutions of certain problems which slow down the business, both the import and the export, between companies on both sides. I believe that, after this forum, we will be only a step away from signing a free trade agreement with Ukraine, which is practically our goal – Miletic said.
Vice President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Valeriy Korol, expects the forum to be successful and to connect businessmen from both countries.
– With this forum, we will enhance the trade between Serbia and Ukraine. Ukraine is now providing opportunities, attracting big investments and this is a big chance for Serbian businessmen to come to Ukraine – Korol emphasized.
The representative of the UCCI in Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro, Vladimir Ribic, pointed out that the chamber's activities will focus on support to the SME sector above all.
The third Serbia-Ukraine business forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Vojvodina Metal Cluster, as part of the 84th Novi Sad International Agricultural Fair.
