– It's a great honor and responsibility to be at the head of the Board of Directors of NALED, the most successful business association in Serbia, which has been the initiator of the most important reforms in the past few years. We have contributed considerably to improving the business environment and achieved great results, such as introducing e-building permits, having Serbia achieve its best placement on the Doing Business list, adopting the National Program for Suppressing Gray Economy, strengthening the capacities of municipalities for the development of economy and attracting investments in five countries of Southeast Europe. The members of the new Board of Directors and I are rightly expected to exceed those results – Ruzevic said following his appointment.
According to him, the Board of Directors will be governed by the guidelines and reform priorities chosen by the members of NALED, among which are suppressing gray economy, reforming the tax system and reducing parafiscal charges. The aim is also for NALED to continue to actively work on reducing the paperwork through simplifying and modernizing administrative procedures, improving the business conditions in local self-governments through the realization of the Business Friendly Certificate South East Europe program, as well as a quicker development of electronic governance.
