Norwegian "Telenor" increased number of subscribers to 150m

Company "Telenor", which operates in Serbia, announced today that it had increased total number of subscribers in the world to more than 150 million.

President and Executive Manager of "Telenor", Jon Fredrik Baksaas, said on the Day of the capital market of that company that he was satisfied with the achieved result since "Telenor" had 100m users year and half before.

Baksaas said that the number of 150 million users included subscribers to all branch offices and adjoined companies and that the significant growth had been registered on the markets of Pakistan and Bangladesh.

"Telenor" is the world's seventh largest mobile operator and it has the second largest market share in Serbia - 39%, and 2,987,000 subscribers.

That company realized operative profit in amount of 15.5m EUR in the first three months of this year.
