Serbia has improved its rating looking by the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) and is now 72nd of 176 countries, as reported by Dun & Bradstreet, represented in Serbia by Bisnode, in its May report.

In the last year's report, Serbia placed 78th. The outcome of the presidential election, according to D&B analysts, has had a positive impact on the political situation in Serbia.

D&B also confirmed that the Serbian economy would grow by 3% in 2017 and by 3.3% in 2018, following an annual increase of the GDP by 2.5% in the final quarter of 2016.

The May report places Serbia among the countries featuring moderate business risk, and the same group includes Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia and Albania.

Of the countries of the region, Slovenia and Romania have a better rating, as they have both been characterized as mild risk countries, whereas Bosnia and Herzegovina has a lower rating, as a high risk country.

Albania's rating has dropped this month due to political instability.
