Production at vegetable processing factory in Gospodjinci to start by July – Value of investment EUR 5 million

The plans is for the cucumber calibration section of the the vegetable processing factory in Gospodjinci to be put into operation by this July and for the facility in which final products are to be processed and packaged to be put into operation by mid-2018.

This was said on Tuesday, May 30, on the occasion of the visit of the mayor of Zabalj, along with his associates, to the factory in Gospodjinci. The delegation was welcomed by Sinisa Mutic, the leading man of the company Agroprodukt Srb, which carries the entire project.

– Initially, we will process cucumbers, and the plan is to expand the business to include pepper, cabbage and other vegetables – it was pointed out.

Agroprodukt Srb cooperates with around 1,500 business partners throughout Serbia, and the plan is for the cooperation to further expand. Raw vegetables have been processed in Germany so far, by the processing in Gospodjinci is to start as soon as this autumn. It is the German company which has decided to invest in this factory.


The value of this investment is around EUR 5 million, the initial processing capacity is 4,000 tons, and around 300 workers will be employed.
