Romanian businessman Ovidiu Tender, which already has some investments in Serbia, wants to buy Industry of building machines "14. oktobar" from Kruševac.
Tender waits for the new Government of Serbia to be formed in order to resume negotiations about privatization.
He did not want to reveal details of his offer, but he said that, in addition to investments, the focus was on the social program he offered, as well as on the plans for the future operations of that factory.
He is of the opinion that the great opportunity lies in the fact that Romanian Government intends to invest about 30 billion EUR in construction of roads, while the technical equipment Romanian companies have is either imported or very old.
- The factory from Kruševac, the manufacturer of equipment for construction of roads, can achieve, working at full steam, annual production worth 300m EUR and the quality of that production is at the level of famous US company "Caterpillar" - said Tender.
Ovidiu Tender is one of the richest Romanians. His property is worth 600-620m USD. He is on the list of the 300 richest Romanians. The domains of his business include industry, real estates and services.
