The Russian businessman Oleg Deripaska is withdrawing from the Austrian construction concern Strabag, the Viennese daily Kronen Zeitung claims.

Negotiations about the new distribution of the ownership structure are in progress, and the decision, as announced, will be made public in the coming days.

Deripaska entered Strabag in 2007 by taking over a 30% stake.

The collective agreement with the two main shareholders, the Haselsteiner family and the Raiffeisen Holding Vienna, has been signed.

Deripaska currently has 25.9 plus one shares in Strabag through its Rasperia Trading, headquartered in Cyprus.

When he entered the ownership structure of Strabag, Deripaska had to pay EUR 44 per share, whereas the current value is EUR 38.

Strabag had a net turnover of EUR 13.5 billion last year, and the concern employs 71,800 people.
