Mlekara Leskovac has recently bought new equipment, thanks to which it will increase the production.

According to General Manager Atila Horvat, the plan is for the dairy to increase the production from the current 60,000 liters to 100,000-110,000 liters of milk, the website of the City of Leskovac reports.

– We intend to penetrate the market of the European Union, above all Greece – Horvat said.

Mlekara Leskovac, which has over 600 subcontractors, has been steadily growing in the past five years when it comes to collection and processing of milk. Improved operations have led to an increase in the number of employees, and another 65 people have been employed since 2011, bringing the number of employees of Mlekara up to 121. The production program now features more than 40 products.

The dairy was visited by Mayor of Leskovac Goran Cvetanovic on Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

Mlekara Leskovac was founded in 1969. It was privatized in 2005 and it became part of Hungarian company Sole Mizo and the Bonafarm Group six years later.
