Artificial turf from Serbia at Kazakh Astana Arena stadium

(Astana Arena stadium in Kazakhstan) Artificial turf produced in Tarkett factory in Backa Palanka has recently been laid down at the Astana Arena stadium – the national football stadium in the capital of Kazakhstan, the company reported.

The stadium now features artificial turf of the iDNA X 60 type, from the Desso Sports range of products. This artificial turf system is characteristic for its 650-micron blades and EPDM granulate filling.

The stadium is worth USD 185 million. It was designed by the leading architectural company specializing in sports facilities Populous, which was also in charge of the design of the famous Emirates stadium of Arsenal F.C. in northern London. The facility is used by local champions of Kazakhstan – FC Astana and FC Bayterek.

Tarkett Serbia, a member of the multinational Tarkett Group, has been operating in Serbia since 2002, when a joint investments with Sintelon was realized. The seat of the company is in Backa Palanka, where four factories for the production of vinyl and textile flooring, parquetry and artificial turf, as well as two sales outlets of Tarkett, are located.

The first games on the court in Kazakhstan were played in early May, the Tarkett press release adds.
