The jobs the Valjevo-based company Krusik has contracted guarantee that it will be busy well into 2019, the director of HK Krusik, Mladen Petkovic, says and adds that the company has kept a part of its old production program, while also introducing a new one, reports the Vamedia portal.

– The 285-km-range missile for Sumadija is our product, as are the 122-mm and 128-mm missiles for the multi-barrel launcher Morava. Aside from the mortar ammo products, which are Krusik's trademark around the world, we now have entirely new missile products. In addition to the ones I've already mentioned, there's the GRAD missile with an extended range of 40 kilometers, a modernized Oganj missile, a modernized Maljutka guided missile with a tandem-charge and thermobaric warhead, and we've also started producing the 155-mm missile for Nora. By the end of this year, we expect the serial production of the air-to-ground missile S-8 to start – Petkovic said.

The fact that Krusik is, slowly but surely, becoming the leader in the defense industry is shown by the fact that over 70 countries buy their products, among which are the USA, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

– Last year, we had exports worth USD 50 million, but, considering the jobs contracted for this year, we expect the results to be the best ones in the history of Krusik. The factory had exports worth USD 76 million in the 1980s, at the time of its greatest expansion, but it also had 9,000 workers then. We plan to reach USD 80 million with over 2,500 employees and realize the biggest export in history – Petkovic explains.

In addition to the expanded range of products, Krusik now has a new rocket engine production facility and an ammunition factory. It's interesting to note that the production of rocket engines is the only one of this type in Serbia, and that the facility itself is worth EUR 9.4 million. The ammunition factory will be producing Bokser gun ammunition.

At the time the NATO bombing campaign started, Krusik had close to ten thousand employees, and the number then dropped to barely a thousand, primarily in the administrative department. The situation has changed since, and Krusik currently employs 2,639 people.

It's more than clear that people are interested in jobs in this factory, where the average salary amounts to RSD 49,000. As they say, there are as many as ten applicants per vacancy. According to its director, Krusik needs electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and CNC operators, Vamedia reports.
