Napred interested in Energoprojekt's insurance company as well

Dobroslav Bojovic, owner of Napred, has submitted a request to the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) for issuing approval for acquiring ownership in Energoprojekt Garant, the majority owner of which is Energoprojekt Holding, Politika reports.

The procedure of deciding on the said request is in progress, in line with the Law on Insurance and its bylaws, the NBS says for the newspaper.

They remind that the Law on Insurance says that any party looking to acquire indirect or direct participation in an insurance company, including the ability to effectively influence the management, must first obtain approval by the NBS.

This Friday, the Securities Commission gave permission to Bojovic to submit a bid for the takeover of the Energoprojekt shares, which he did.

Napred Razvoj AD, along with GP Napred, Montinvest Properties, the Swiss Jopag AG and Dobroslav Bojovic, sent an official bid for the takeover of the shares of Energoprojekt Holding. The bid opened on Monday and lasts for 21 days, until July 31.

The bidders are interested in taking over 7,070,467 of Energoprojekt shares, i.e. a 64.68% stake in the company at the price of RSD 1,501 per share. These are all the remaining shares not yet owned by the bidders.

Three days ago, Bojovic submitted a bid for taking over the shares of Energoprojekt Holding exclusively, and not for the other two companies, which was his obligation according to the decision of the Securities Commission.

As Politika reports, Energoprojekt Garant is a part of Energoprojekt and therefore needs to be included in the takeover bid. Energoprojekt Entel is also a part of Energoprojekt.
