AXA companies officially absorbed within Wiener Stadtische Insurance

AXA Non-Life Insurance (AXA Nezivotno Osiguranje) and AXA Life Insurance (AXA Zivotno Osiguranje) have officially been absorbed within Wiener Stadtische Osiguranje, WS announced.

In late 2016, Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) became the owner of AXA Zivotno Osiguranje a.d.o. Beograd and AXA Nezivotno Osiguranje a.d.o. Beograd (AXA Osiguranje). As VIG is successfully operating in Serbia through Wiener Stadtische Osiguranje a.d.o. Beograd, the process of absorption of the company within WS lasted from the moment of the takeover of AXA Osiguranje up till August 1, 2017. On that date, AXA Osiguranje officially ceased to exist, Wiener Stadtische reported.

– The agreements signed by AXA Osiguranje prior to becoming a part of the VIG system remain in effect under identical terms, featuring the same rights and benefits until the expiration of the insurance. This means that Wiener Stadtische Osiguranje has taken over all obligations towards the clients of AXA Osiguranje. Recompense claims by the clients will be paid under the terms in effect on the date of the signing of the insurance contract, whereas claim report requests will be processed in line with the regular procedure – said Zoran Blagojevic, chairman of the Executive Board of WS.
