Zemun restaurants Venecija and Gardos being sold

Popular Zemun restaurants Venecija and Gardos are looking for new owners.

The Bankruptcy Supervision Agency advertised, as the bankruptcy trustee, the sale of the property of the company Central a.d. Beograd through a public bidding to be held on September 14.

Venecija, one of the most popular restaurants in this part of Belgrade is located on the Zemun Wharf, next to the Danube, and features a recognizable balcony, also subject to the sale, whereas Gardos is located more than two hundred meters away from the famous medieval tower and provides a view to Belgrade, the Danube and old Zemun.

Central has been in bankruptcy since 2010. Since 2013, when it celebrated its 100th anniversary, Venecija has been closed several times. The Bankruptcy Supervision Agency announced last year that it was preparing the documentation for a sale of this cult Zemun restaurant. The sale has now been advertised at the starting price of RSD 105.3 million. The starting price for Gardos is RSD 23.5 million.

Potential purchasers who buy out the sales documentation by September 7 have the right to take part in the sales procedure.
