Israeli "Kavim" failed to take over "Stup" from Vršac
Israeli transportation company "Kavim Public Transportation" has announced today (August 19, 2008) that it failed to take over transportation company "Stup" from Vršac, for which the company from Israel offered 149.3m RSD, that is, 1.94m EUR.
According to the report about takeover of stocks, which was published in "Politika", "Kavim" did not take over stocks of "Stup". The offer was opened between July 29 and August 18, and "Kavim" intended to take over minimum 25% and maximum 100% of stocks of "Stup".
According to the data provided by the Central Securities Registry, major stockholders of "Stup" are the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund with 9.8% of stocks, the Share Fund with 9.7%, company "Proinvestments" with 8.7%, while all other stockholders have less than 5% each.
"Kavim Public Transportation" is one of the largest transportation companies in Israel and it is the majority owner of "Sandžaktrans" from Novi Pazar, "Jedinstvo" from Vranje and "Autoprevoz" from Čačak.
