Animal feed premix plant of Ravago Chemicals opens in Feketic – Value of investment EUR 5 million

A modern European animal feed premix plant of Ravago Chemicals, in which EUR 5 million was invested, opened in Feketic yesterday.

As stated in the Belgian company's press release, the production capacity of the premix plant in Feketic is 12,000 tons a year, which amounts to around 25% of the region's needs for this kind of product. The construction works were performed by the Bulgarian company Cordeel, and the equipment, built in line with the highest quality standards, was made by the Swiss company Buhler, the leading global producer in the field of animal feed technology and the food industry.

During the construction, the factory was monitored by the experts of the company DSM, the global leader in the production of premixes. The company took part in the selection of laboratory equipment for Ravago Chemicals.

– The latest technology, the most modern equipment and software have been implemented and we fully rely on the application of science and new technologies in our production process. The entire production process guarantees maximum product safety. We follow global trends in each segment and adhere to the legislation of our country, the European Union and the countries to which we export our products – said the manager of the Ravago plant, Josip Bubnjevic.

– All raw materials are controlled and such analysis clearly show what each raw material contributes to the mix, so potential mistakes in the production practically don't exist.

He emphasized that the laboratory was equipped with the latest devices for testing raw materials and finished products, such as AAS – Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, which analyses minerals and heavy metals, HPLC – High Performance Liquid Chromatography, a vitamin analysis device, as well as NIR – Near Infrared Spectrometer TANGO, a Weende analysis device.

As added in the press release, Ravago Chemicals produces animal feed premixes used in the raising of pigs, poultry, sheep, goats, fish breeding and all other fields of livestock breeding. It cooperates with companies of all sizes in Serbia and the region and contributes to an enhancement of food safety and quality of livestock production.

The official opening of the plant was attended by Theo Roussis, CEO of Ravago, Axel Roussis, GM of Ravago, Filip van Camfort, GM of Ravago Chemicals, Peter Fisher, Vice president of ANH Europe, General Manager of Ravago Chemicals Serbia, Zarko Alargic, and other representatives of Ravago and partner companies.
