Decision on salary and pension raises in early October – IMF Mission arrives to Belgrade

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated that she expected the talks with the IMF Mission, which arrived to Belgrade on September 13, to be successful and that she believed that final decision regarding salary and pension raises would be announced in the next three weeks.

– It is important to us to present to them our vision of salary and pension raises and a sustainable growth of the economy and I expect that there will be a consensus in the upcoming days, as we have a good situation regarding the budget, as well as fiscal discipline – Brnabic told the press in Cacak, where she talked to local businessmen.

She noted that it was good that Serbia had successfully completed the seventh review of the arrangement with the IMF and added that she expected the entire arrangement to be completed successfully and for the Government to prove itself as a good and credible partner.

The focus in the upcoming period, she underlined, will be placed on a further transformation of the Tax Administration.
