Nine women entrepreneurs awarded – Success Flower prizes handed out

(Recipients of the 2017 Success Flower award) The Association of Business Women in Serbia awarded the Success Flower acknowledgment to the best women entrepreneurs in Serbia for the eleventh time on October 26, 2017.

Nine out of 24 nominees from throughout the country received the Success Flower award at the ceremony held at the Madlenianum theater, and two entrepreneurs won the awards in the main category, “The Most European Female-Owned Company”, Aleksandra Bogunovic, co-owner of the Belgrade-based company Bexing, and Milenca Sreckovic, co-owner of SET Sabac.

The commission decided to award special prizes for contribution to development of female entrepreneurship in various business segments to seven candidates. They are: Nada Davidovac (Zelena Apoteka Davidovac), Natalija Filipovic (Carobni Zalogaj), Marija Ignjatovic (Novitas Consult), Nadja Jokanovic and Nina Milovic (Wannabe), Snezana Obradovic (Aledjo) and Marina Stankovic (Meda and Artemida).

– With this award, we have managed to make visible the contribution of women to development of small and medium enterprises and economy – said the president of the Association of Business Women of Serbia, Sanja Popovic Pantic.

In the 11 years that the award has been handed out, she said, 112 women entrepreneurs have been awarded the Success Flower prize.

The event was supported by the Ministry of Economy. According to Katarina Obradovic Jovanovic, assistant to the minister of economy, female entrepreneurship is an underused resource, and the award precisely aims to motivate and encourage women entrepreneurs to start their own business and show that success is possible with hard work.
