(From the Milan meeting) A presentation of projects in the field of infrastructure and environmental protection in Serbia, organized by Confindustria Serbia and Assolombarda, was held in Milan on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
The head speakers were representatives of Serbian institutions – Ivan Karic, state secretary at the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia, and Ljubisa Mihajlovic, head of the Directorate for Waterways at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, says a press release by Confindustria Serbia.
At the gathering which brought together around 40 representatives of companies from Milan, Monza and Brianza, the attendees were also addressed by the director of Confindustria Serbia, Irena Brajovic, the head of the sector of energy at Assolombarda, Massimo di Domenico, as well as the director of the company EuBuild, Zoran Djordjevic. They presented the cooperation thus far and the role they had in providing support to Italian companies interested in getting involved in projects in Serbia.
There was talk about the financial aspects of the projects, and Bojan Starec, representative of the Serbian office of Italiana Costruzioni, also presented his experience in doing business in the field of construction and infrastructure in Serbia.
Let us remind that an agreement on cooperation was signed following the great success of last year's business forum Italy-Serbia: Business Links – Local Infrastructure, held in July in Belgrade, which brought together 35 Italian companies and 22 local self-governments, after which Italian companies showed great interest in infrastructural projects in Serbia. The agreement defines joint activities to the end of following and analyzing projects and tenders of interest to companies within Assolombarda, as well as support to participation in tenders.
