New raspberry plantations are to be raised in the second half of November in the Novi Pazar area, on an area of 4.6 hectares. This is a pilot project realized by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the Sandzak Economic Development Agency (SEDA) and the City of Novi Pazar.

TIKA has secured 73,600 new seedlings worth around EUR 35,000. The planting material will be given to 46 farms in the area. The condition for a farmer to get the planting material is for them to own 0.1 ha of quality land which has been previously analyzed, to have the necessary mechanization and to have had the farm registered.

Along with the planting material, the Turkish donor has also secured 15 two-wheel tractors and 11 irrigation systems this time.

The two-wheel tractors are to be used by three to five agriculturists from the association, whereas the irrigation systems are to be provided to the agriculturists with the least amount of funds at their disposal.
