The court dispute concerning the Partizan FC stadium, which has been ongoing for around ten years, has once again been won by the military. The court has decided that the stadium in the Humska Street is owned of the Ministry of Defense of Serbia.

This has also been confirmed by the vice-president of the club, Vladimir Vuletic, who nevertheless announces a new complaint.

– In mid-October, the Managing Board of the Yugoslav Sports Association Partizan met and lawyer Kostic introduced us to the current situation regarding our stadium at this meeting. After the Basic Court decided that Partizan was not the owner of the stadium, the Appellate Court returned the procedure to the Basic Court, which once again reached the same decision. We have, of course filed another complaint, and the case will be presented once again at the Appellate Court, but the decision now needs to be final – Vuletic explains.

The court dispute was initiated in 2006, and the first decision was reached seven years later. Partizan then addressed the Appellate Court, and Vuletic points out that the club has all the necessary documentation to prove that it does own the stadium.

– We believe that the situation regarding the stadium is crystal clear and that the facility belongs to the YSA Partizan. It used to belong to the Yugoslav People's Army, and Veljko Kadijevic, the then head of the General Staff, had the discretionary power to assign it to someone for permanent use. He, however, didn't use the right, but honored the procedure instead, and the stadium was given to us in the end. It was even offered to the city of Belgrade initially, but the city rejected the offer, and the stadium was given to Partizan only then – Vuletic adds.

Vuletic cites an interesting example as proof that the stadium in the Humska Street is truly owned by Partizan.

– The procedure was conducted in line with all the regulations, and even if it hadn't been, the deadlines for complaints expired ten years ago and the question can in no way be initiated now. Furthermore, don't forget that, regarding the succession of the SFRY, no newly formed state initiated the question of the ownership of the stadium, as they took the indisputable position that it belonged to the Yugoslav Sports Association Partizan – Vuletic points out.
