Representatives of Indian companies Mahindra and Tafe should soon visit Serbia in order to complete the negotiations started during the recent visit of Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic to New Delhi.

As Novosti learns unofficially, Tafe is closest to the decision to buy the IMT Belgrade brand out, whereas Mahindra is looking to open a plant for primary production, processing and collection of fruit.

Let us remind that, upon his return from India, Nedimovic said that these companies were interested in operating in Serbia.

If concrete agreements on the purchase of the IMT brand are realized, Novosti reports, the plant would be built somewhere in Serbia, whereas a residential-commercial complex might be raised in the location of IMT facilities in Belgrade.

Pears ready for export

Once the certification of export of pomaceous and berry fruits to India is obtained, the first local products might be sent to the country. According to the newspaper's findings, pears are ready to go, and the only thing left to do is the harmonization of veterinary and phytosanitary regulations and the signing of the certificate.
