Sewing and fixing textile at IKEA – Swedish company starts cooperating with EkoBag

The social welfare company EkoBag, an association of unemployed women over 50, will be providing sewing and textile fixing services to consumers at IKEA Belgrade.

As stated in the Swedish company's press release, as part of a one-year cooperation, IKEA will employ two members of this company, who will get a work space within the IKEA Belgrade East department store for free, and the visitors will from now on be provided with services of repairing curtains, pillow covers, tablecloths, aprons and making bags.

EkoBag produces bags and other items from recycled PVC banner and billboard foil, the press release says and adds that IKEA has been establishing partnerships with social welfare companies worldwide since 2012 in order to support the economic, sustainable and social development of the countries it operates in.
