Minister of Environmental Protection Goran Trivan stated that the Law on Climate Change would be adopted in 2018.

Trivan emphasized that it was one of the most important laws to be adopted by Serbia, as it included a set of measures that must be implemented, from citizens' conduct, through institutions, the business sectors, and all other polluters.

– The Strategy of Countering Climate Change is being prepared. Belgrade already did this several years ago and we know exactly what we need to do – Trivan told RTS.

The minister added that the awareness of the importance of preserving nature was higher at the moment than ten years before, although still not on a satisfactory level, and added that there was discussion about the environment in kindergartens and schools.

Trivan says that the forestation of Serbia is also planned and that the fact that it hasn't yet been done is down to lack of understanding, not lack of money.
