The Austrian company Immofinanz has begun building its fifth shopping center in Serbia, the TiMP portal reports. The foundation stone for Stop Shop Pozarevac was laid down by Josko Pitesa, Immofinanz manager for Serbia, and Bane Spasojevic, mayor of Pozarevac.
Stop Shop Pozarevac will take up 7,200 square meters and have over 300 parking spaces. The opening is scheduled for April 2018, and the citizens of Pozarevac and neighboring places will have at their disposal local and international brands in 16 outlets, among them Reserved, LC Waikiki and others. The retail park will not feature a supermarket, whereas the opening of a cinema is possible in the second phase of the project, which will encompass around 3,000 square meters.
– The experiences from the cities in Serbia in which we already own retail parks have encouraged us to spread further – stated Josko Pitesa, operating manager of Immofinanz in Serbia.
The shopping center in Pozarevac will be located in the Djure Djakovica Street, with a direct access to one of the main traffic routes in the town and the exit to the highway.
Mayor Bane Spasojevic pointed out that the investment was significant for all the residents of the Branicevo District, as the construction of the shopping center would create jobs for 300 people, TiMP reports.
Immofinanz already owns retail parks in Cacak, Nis, Valjevo and Lazarevac. In addition to Pozarevac, they plan to raise a few other shopping centers. Vrsac is expected to get a new, modern shopping destination in the spring of 2018, and Stop Shop Sremska Mitrovica should welcome the first shoppers in the fall of 2018.
